Battery Prices are Getting Ridiculous

I’ve used many different brands of car batteries over the years. Diehard, Duralast, Interstate, Exide, Deka, Champion, Ac Delco, just to name a few.. None really stand out as being an incredible go to battery to me, so why are they getting so damn expensive! A basic flooded lead acid battery costs around 200 bucks! Because of this I’ve really been gravitating towards Walmart for batteries lately. What’s your favorite aftermarket battery and how long has it lasted for you?

  1. For some reason I kept referring to the non AGM batteries as lead acid, but what I meant to say was “flooded.” Both AGM and flooded batteries are lead acid, the AGM’s just use glass mat to hold the solution. Flooded batteries have the acid sloshing around inside like some sort of poisonous fish bowl. Anyway battery prices are out of control. I’ll continue to take my chances with the cheapest of the cheap. How about you?

  2. I have a 19 Cruze purchased in November 2018. The battery is still going strong after 7+ years.

  5. Listen carefully around. 4:25 into the video. Did he say a 72 year warranty? For $140 ? Hell yes, I definitely will get one. And transfer this battery to another vehicle, it will still be here for my grandkids to use.
