3 Things everyone gets WRONG about Upgrading Brakes. How To do Big Brake Kits right

I used to think about Brakes all wrong. Thanks to #ebaymotors I was able to make a video this polished on the common mistakes we all make when looking at big brake kits. Not only that, I was able to do all my research and find the right upgrades while on a budget. This is my first time working with eBay but I’ve been using them for years to find parts and try my weird ideas. #ebaypartner #letsride

Check out eBay Motors:

The 3 things we cover with real world examples are
Bigger brakes don’t decrease stopping distance
The effect of Thermal Mass
The effect of more Pistons

also (tceperformanceproducts has the free braking calculator for you to see if the upgrades are ideal for your car. It takes some extra leg work, but if you cant or don’t change your master cylinder, you can really find the ideal brakes for your car.)

  1. Love the video. Going to ask a question, I doubt it’ll get answered but I’ll answer it anyway 😁 Did you upgrade or change the Master Cylinder? I put 4 piston caliper of my Chevelle. 5th ZL1 in 4 Piston the Rear and CTS 4 Piston in the front. I have a Wilwood 7/8 Master Cylinder and it’s not stopping.

Braided lines in the front. Rubber in the back. Also read how properly bleed 4 pistons.

    Any info would be helpful

    Thank you

  3. I feel like I just watched an Ebay commercial

  4. Honestly the thing I mostly love in my audi a3 8v 2 tdi 150hp are the brakes. xD
Nice car, I even wrapped it, love the torque after a 1.6 ople astra G but man, when I have to stop it fcking stops.
Stock brakes, 225/45 R17 4season wheels, and cheap wheels. Still it stops from 140km/h to 0 like crazy.
Went from 110 to 0 in 20m and saved a stupid small dog’s life.

  5. 6:00 surface area does not affect the brake force. Fr=mu*Fn, Fr the force that the pads (or his hand provides), mu ist friction coefficient, Fn ist the force that pistons providing toward pads (F=P*A). So what we see ist is that he can’t provide the save force on his pinkie!!! No that the surface is important in case Pads/disc
